News

First pre-season friendly announced as Long Melford welcome Bury Town to Stoneylands.

Pre-season sees Melford play host to former Colchester United and Ipswich Town player Cole Skuse and his new look Bury Town side as they make the short trip to Stoneylands on Tuesday July 18th (7.45pm kick off).

Long Melford manager Dave Hennessey had this to say:

We are delighted to have Bury Town as our guests at Stoneylands this pre-season. Our thanks to Cole and the club for agreeing to bring a side over and we look forward to testing ourselves against a strong step 4 club. Let’s hope we get a good crowd down to watch.

The club are working hard to finalise our pre-season preparations for the first team and Lee Greenwood’s U23s and will unveil the full schedule soon.

In the meantime, if you’re interested in joining the club and potentially playing against the likes of Bury Town in pre-season, then sign up for our pre-season trial day on Tuesday 20th June by contacting Dave Hennessey on 07814848202
