Long Melford FC Crest

In June 2021, the brand new Long Melford FC crest will be launched as the club begins a new era.

The previous Long Melford FC crest dates back to around 2001, but it was decided that a refresh was required in line with the unveiling of the new website, www.longmelfordfc.com, and the opening of the new clubhouse at Stoneylands.

The new club crest retains the black lion emblem, but now also features a roman helmet to signify the archaeological findings at Stoneylands in recent years, which have included parts of a roman centurion’s helmet.

The club’s traditional black and white stripes feature in the lower half of the new crest, below which is stamped the year 1868 to commemorate the first recorded game played by Long Melford Football Club.
