David Lopez returns in coaching role

Andy/21 May, 23/712/0
First TeamNews

We are delighted to welcome former Long Melford player David Lopez back to the club in his new role as part of Dave Hennessey’s coaching staff.

David has moved into coaching after injury stopped him playing.

As a skilful midfielder, David was very popular during his time as a Melford player, scoring 7 goals in 72 games.

David had this to say on his appointment:

I am very happy to be back. This time in a different way, as a coach. I hope to be able to help Long Melford in all the goals they want to achieve and to bring everything I know about football to the coaches. I can’t wait to get started in pre-season.

First team manager Dave Hennessey had this to add:

I’m delighted to welcome Dave back to the club. He was a very good player and I have every confidence that he will make an excellent coach too.

Everybody at the club wishes David a warm welcome back to Long Melford FC.
