New manager appointed!

Club Chairman, Mick Garbi has appointed Martin ‘Macca’ McConnell as the new First Team Manager of Long Melford Football Club.

Macca has a strong footballing CV, having won silverware at every club he has managed at – more recently, with Old Newton – winning the SIL (Suffolk and Ipswich League) Premier last year, then the year before – winning with Thurston FC in the final of the Suffolk Junior Cup at Portman Road.

We are excited to welcome Macca to his debut in the dugout in the League on Saturday, at home against Diss Town.
