Lewis Brennan update
Following Tuesday night’s medical emergency at Hadleigh we’d like to take a moment to update you on our player, Lewis Brennan.
The match was abandoned before half-time when Lewis suffered a cardiac incident and following some stellar treatment from physios and officials from both clubs he was whisked away to hospital where’s he’s stable and undergoing further tests.
As a club we’d like to extend our thanks to Tuesday night’s referee and assistants and all at Hadleigh United for their support and assistance during this incident. In such a trying time it was incredible to see so many people step up and make sure everyone was looked after properly.
We’d like to reserve special praise for Alex Barker (Hadleigh physio), Josh Stokes and Brian Dunster (Melford coach/physio) who were with Lewis from the minute he left the pitch and ensured he received the very best care and treatment until they handed him over to the ambulance service.
Lewis wanted to add his thanks to everyone who helped on Tuesday and for all the well wishes and messages of support he’s received since.
Further updates will no doubt follow but for now we just want to wish Lewis a full and speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him up and about soon.
