Supported by their largest crowd of the season (181) Heacham were unable to produce other than, a fairly tepid performance that seemed to get an imitation act from Long Melford, as the game lacked any real flair and energy.

For Melford, Ryan Gibbs enjoyed some four good chances over the course of the game, three clearing the goal posts and the fourth ending in the arms of Aaron Watson the home keeper.

Only Fred Dende looked any real threat for Melford and his two great efforts were saved by Watson in the home goal.

For Heacham by far their best player was CharlieRoyle a loanee from Kings Lynn Town, going forward he was always a threat, with some intelligent movement off the ball but even he could not find a finish.

And so the game bored on with little to excite the large crowd, that was left to the 93rd minute when Heacham were awarded a free kick on the edge of the Melford penalty. Sadly for Heacham, Royle could only find the Melford defensive wall! CHENOBERET
