Ben Judge’s fourth goal of the season helped pick up three valuable points against Woodbridge Town.

It was a very deserved victory for Long Melford, which could have been by a greater margin with better finishing.

The first goal arrived on 16 minutes when skipper Jacob Brown floated a ball into the Woodbridge penalty area and the talented BEN JUDGE headed home.

This was followed on 21 minutes by a second when RYAN GIBBS  slid the ball home from close range.

There followed a succession of good chances two further unconverted efforts from Ryan Gibbs and another effort just wide from Harry Brown.

At the other end Melford keeper Matt Walker had a very quiet first half, with only the occasional threat of Andrew Crowe and Ryan Keeble of any real concern.

Although the second half proved to be fairly even, Melford held on to a valued victory and the even more valued three points.

The victory lifted them above Kirkley on goal average, with the said team the visitors to Melford this coming Saturday March 9th ko  3 pm.

Certainly the man of the match for Melford went to Ben Judge his skill and running was an inspiration to the rest of the team. CHENOBERET
