New coaching appointments
Long Melford coaching upgrades completed ahead of the new season.
Following on from the recent updates to the coaching unit within the U23s, Dave Hennessey has added two coaches to the club’s backroom team.
First up is Cameron Scorer (pictured). Cam comes to Long Melford having cut his coaching teeth with 6 years at Chelmsford City working in their youth set up. In his most recent role he was working with Springfield FC.
A UEFA B licenced coach, Cam will be a very good addition to the team.
Cameron had this to say on his arrival at Stoneylands:
I am delighted to join Long Melford. The club has a fantastic set up with great people and ambitions for success. I am excited for the new season, working hard with the team and hopeful for a successful season.
Dave Hennessey had this to add
Cam is a very talented coach who wasn’t short of options both coaching and managing so we are delighted to add him to the team.
Adding to the coaching unit was a key mission for us this summer and to bring in someone of Cameron’s level along with the other chaps we’ve brought in sets us up to be very effective on the training pitch and in games this season.
In further news, former U18s assistant Josh Stokes will continue to work with the club as a coach.
Josh’s primary roles will be to work with Head of Goalkeeping Mike Onslow to ensure the Long Melford goalkeepers have the best possible coaching resources available to them as he continues on his coaching journey with us.
