U23s backroom team update

Andy/01 Jun, 23/945/0
News

Our new U23s manager Lee Greenwood has wasted no time in putting together his backroom team who will support him in the coming season.

Lee has retained the services of former player and one of last season’s coaches in Craig Lee and has added some serious experience in the shape of Paul Harvey and Ben Hall (pictured above). Lee had this to say about his team:

I am delighted to have put together such a strong team for the coming season, I am happy to have retained the services of long-serving Melford man Craig Lee, who signs up for another season with us.

We also add Ben Hall to our coaching team who comes to us having played at step 3 and 4. With that under his belt and still playing it stands us in good stead to help the youngsters progress.

That brings us to Paul Harvey, a man with over 50 years experience in football, playing and managing teams like Tiptree United. Paul has won so many trophies and his knowledge will be so valuable for us as a group.

I couldn’t think of a better team to be working with as we aim to take Long Melford into the new era of the under 23’s. Welcome guys.

Ben added a brief comment:

I am really pleased to be here at Long Melford.

I fell in love with the place last year during a charity game, and the club was never far from my thoughts since.

I will work hard to help support Lee and the rest of the team in ensuring we have a successful season.

I hope this is the beginning of a long and successful story for me at Long Melford and I’m grateful for the opportunity to be here.
