Cody Smith-Brooks scored a hat-trick for the Under 18’s in Thursday’s win over FC Clacton.

Solly Howe scored the other Melford goal as Nathan Bartlett’s side made it two wins from their opening two league matches.

U18 manager Nathan Bartlett had this to say about the match:

It was probably a performance to forget overall and FC Clacton were probably unlucky not to get something from the game. However, yet another outstanding performance from young Cody Smith-Brooks scoring a hat trick, plus a sensational solo effort from Solly Howe was enough to secure all 3 points.

Tomorrow it’s a rare Saturday without a home match for the club. The first team visit Soham Town Rangers and the reserves make the short trip to Halstead Town – both 3pm kick offs.
