Wroxham 7 Long Melford 1
The long trek to central Norfolk yesterday for a 1.30pm start proved a very painful experience for the understrength Villagers.
After 49 seconds the rampant home team went ahead RYAN MILES charged at the Melford defence evading three tackles to score from ten yards out.
On 9 minutes from what to many looked an offside position striker JOE TAYLOR replicated the first goal.
Ten minutes later JOE TAYLOR added a third for the home team.
The Villagers under siege mounted the odd attack but it was all about trying to defend wave after wave of Wroxham pressure.
On 38 minutes another bungle in defence allowed RYAN MILES to score the fourth goal for the home team.
Into the second period and Melford looked a slightly improved team and gave Ollie Sutton in the Wroxham goal the odd bit of work to do.
The fifth goal came on 51 minutes SHAUN TAYLOR ran some thirty yards evaded several tackles to fire past Matt Walker in the Melford goal.
Melford got a goal back on 64 minutes when BEN JUDGE ran though the Wroxham defence to side foot home.
On 70 minutes RYAN MILES scored his hat trick with a header from a rebound. Just time on 76 minutes for RYAN MILES to add his fourth and make the tally seven for the home team, in what was a very comprehensive victory. CHENOBERET
