Long Melford U23s currently second in the table ended their impressive season with a home win against Framlingham Town last weekend.

Melford made hard work of this victory, but the increased pace in the second half took them through.

The home side had failed chances but otherwise were kept at bay by three good saves from Oscar Hill in the Fram goal.

Melford played some good football, but were caught out after nine minutes in when some poor defending allowed  COVEY  QUINN a simple tap in.

Melford were shocked not to get two penalties, but eventually levelled on 44 minutes when a flick from Kyran Quelch release THOM CHANCE and he rounded the keeper to net.

It was better from Melford in the second half, but Quinn spurned a good chance for Fram as did Chance for Melford.

On 60 minutes Melford went ahead when TOM CHANCE worked himself wide of the keeper and fired home.

He was denied his hat trick soon after when there was a late decision for handball.

Melford wound the game up on 88 minutes when  KYRAN QUELCH scored a fine individual goal.
