New First Team Manager revealed

Long Melford FC is pleased to announce the appointment of David Hennessey as First Team Manager.

The Football Club Selection Panel have promoted Dave from his previous position as Reserve Team Manager.

Chairman Geoff Thomas said:

Dave’s presentation to us was very impressive and of course we have seen how well the reserve team has performed in the league this season and also that they reached a cup semi-final.

We feel that Dave is the right man to take over the top spot and we look forward to progressing next season.

I know that everyone including the Trust members, the Football Club Committee, Players, Volunteers and Supporters will congratulate him on his new position.

I would like to thank all the excellent candidates who applied for the job and wish them every success in the future.

Now the hunt starts for someone to fulfil the Reserve Manager’s position.

Dave Hennessey said:

It’s an honour to have the opportunity to lead this great club going forward.

I’m indebted to Jamie Bradbury and his team for bringing me in two years ago and I’d like to thank Geoff and the committee for the trust and support they’ve placed in me.

I am excited to get going on what will undoubtedly be a challenging path. I know that with the backing of the team and support of our fans we are up for that challenge.
