Walsham-le-Willows 3 Long Melford 1
Long Melford’s five-match unbeaten run came to an end last night.
Walsham went 2-0 up through Charlie Norman (38′) and Ryan Twinn (57′).
Perry Newman gave Melford hope when he halved the deficit on 84 minutes, but Walsham wrapped up the three points in injury time on the counter attack through Jamie Smith.
Next up for the Villagers first team is a home match on Saturday against Mulbarton Wanderers, on the same day the Reserves head to Stowmarket Town, both 3pm kick offs.
