U23 manager leaves club

Long Melford/02 May, 25/887/0
News

Long Melford U23’s manager Lee Greenwood has left the club following the completion of the 2024/25 season.

We would like to express our thanks to Lee and his team for their longevity and commitment to the roles.

Over their time at the club, Lee and his team, have overseen many U23 teams with all the ups and downs that come with having to manage an age group often called upon to support the first team, and has late “call ups”.

This has been especially difficult with the unfortunate passing of Geoff and the changing of first team management. The U23s have been crucial in getting through to the end of the season.

With the club going through a restructure after relegation, it is a shame that Lee and his team will not be with us for the upcoming season and the challenges fighting for promotion will bring. The club wish him and his coaching team the best of luck in whatever their next challenge may be.

We will be advertising for a new U23 manager in due course.
