Successful trials as new U18s bosses get started
New U18s managerial duo Tom Rumsey and Dom Greetham were pleased to get their plans for next season started early with two trial sessions over the last week.
Both nights proved successful, with over 30 players attending and some very promising young lads on show.
There were players in attendance who were new to the club as well as those from Long Melford Colts, supporting our long-term aim of creating a pathway for the players within the younger age groups at Stoneylands through to the U18s, reserves and beyond.
From the two sessions, there have been some very encouraging signs moving forward for the U18s and Long Melford Football Club.
As a side note just want to say thank you to the parents that have unfortunately endured poor weather on both occasions!
Prior to the start of pre-season, there will be one more open training / trial day for players keen to join LMFC U18s, and the first team and reserve set-ups. That will take place on Saturday 19 June, contact us for more details.
