Two second half goals from AFC Pegasus on Wednesday evening meant Long Melford returned from Essex empty-handed.
Melford will have to sharpen up their finishing to get future results – at least three golden chances were not converted in the second half.
The home team went ahead after 54 minutes CALLUM GRIFFITHS first to a rebound from Melford keeper Ben Moye.
The lead doubled in 69 minutes when a long ball found DEAN AGER and his deflected shot found the net.
