Pre-season update
Long Melford made it three pre-season victories on the trot at West Wratting on Saturday.
Wratting is never an easy place for a victory. Melford went in at half-time with a scoreline of 3-2. Scorers for Melford were Harry Conway, Konnor Oughton and Jack Graham. Two mistakes allowed Luke Mansfield and Aaron Forshaw to get a return for the home team.
Second half Jack Graham scored a second and a shot from Jack Utting deflected for an own goal, just time for Rory Jebb to head into the net for the home team.
The previous two friendlies were away to higher league opposition where Melford won at Ely City (2-1) and beat Thetford Town (3-2).
A couple of changes to our upcoming friendlies: The next game at home to Debenham LC has been moved from Wednesday 15th JULY, to Thursday 16th July, also next Saturday’s hone game 18th v Haverhill is a 2PM ko not 3PM as first agreed.
