On Tuesday night Melford travelled to Step 2 side Needham Market in the Suffolk Premier Cup.

The gulf between the teams was evident in the 12-0 scoreline. Although to put the result in perspective, on paper this fixture was the equivalent of Needham visiting a League One club like Birmingham City or Bolton Wanderers.
Better news from the Under 23s who bounced back to winning ways yesterday, with a 4-1 victory at Wivenhoe Town.
Thom Chance (2), Oliver Bloomfield and Will Thorp scored the goals for Lee Greenwood’s team.
