Welcome to our new signings!
It’s been a busy summer of recruitment at Long Melford FC.
Luwa Luwabelwa and Nkosi Mwanzi (pictured above) made the headlines in this week’s Suffolk Free Press as the first Zambians to sign for the club
Meanwhile, striker Clarence Emeh has signed to bolster the club’s forward line. Clarence tasted Step 3 football at Brightlingsea Regent and ironically scored against his former club in the recent pre-season friendly.
Harry Brown is another new forward joining the Villagers. His previous clubs include Bury Town and Hadleigh United.
Ollie Judge (defender) joins from Wivenhoe Town, he has also played for Cornard United. The name will be familiar to Melford supporters as he is Ben’s brother.
Jake Cobbold (defender) and Callum Drakard (midfielder) arrive from Bury Town U23s.
Greg Birch (midfielder) is making the step up from Step 7 side Linton Granta.
And 17-year-old defender Tejiri Oboba was introduced to us via our connections with Delta Athletic as he looks to make his breakthrough into Step 5 football.
Head over to our Facebook, Twitter or Instagram accounts to see photos of each new signing and find out a little more about them all.
A warm welcome to all our new arrivals who we hope will enjoy their football here at Long Melford.
It has largely been one way traffic at the club over the summer, although Ryan Gibbs took up a management position at Haverhill Rovers where he is joined by his brother Jordan Gibbs. Good luck to both Ryan and Jordan for the future.
