Long Melford advanced to the quarter-finals of the Endeavour Automotive Suffolk Premier Cup.
In an entertaining game the lead came for Melford after 29 minutes when a hard driven cross from Ben Judge, saw a home defender slice the ball into his own net for an OWN GOAL.
On 43 minutes Hadleigh levelled when from a left flank free kick TOM WARREN stabbed the ball into the net.
On 61 minutes Melford went ahead again when Harry Wales brought Ryan Gibbs down in the penalty box, and from the penalty spot RYAN GIBBS made no mistake.
Melford were somewhat disappointed that they were not awarded a free kick when Frederico Dende was brought down on the edge of the box, as often happens Hadleigh broke through Regan Pelling and his cross was headed home in the 70th minute by KYRON ANDREWS to level the scores.
Chances at both ends, but in the 90th minute CARLOS LAZAR, from the subs bench took advantage of an error by the home keeper to put Melford into the next round.
The quarter final draw will be made on BBC Radio Suffolk
