Josh Collins scored his first senior goal for the club in today’s 1-1 draw at Haverhill Rovers.

Josh gave Melford the lead in the 51st minute but a Haverhill side battling to stay in the Premier Division equalised deep into stoppage time through Nathan Scarborough.

The draw means David Hennessey’s team drop one place in the table to 9th.

FIRST TEAM MATCH REPORT

Meanwhile in the early kick off at Stoneylands, the Reserves cruised to a 7-0 victory against Thetford Town Reserves.

Ricky Verdades (2), Charles Glover, Kyran Quelch, Tyler Shillingford, Dan Smith and Yiannis Yiasemis were all on the scoresheet for Darren Thomas’ team who move up to 3rd in the table.

RESERVES MATCH REPORT

Looking back to Thursday night, the Under 18s were 2-1 winners against Cornard United at Stoneylands.

Solly Howe and Cody Smith-Brooks scored the Melford goals in a victory that lifts Nathan Bartlett’s team up to 5th.
