Ricky Verdades (pictured) scored a brace in a convincing win for our Reserves.
A slow start from Melford led to some bad defending in the 18 yard box allowing Woodbridge to take an early lead.
Melford reacted well spreading the ball around and putting crosses into dangerous areas.
By half-time Melford had taken the lead with two goals. First was a free kick into the box by Ismail Marshall which went through everyone and straight into the goal.
The second was a loose ball in the 18 yard box which the Melford left back (Tyler Shillingford) despatched with a tidy finish.
In the second half Melford came out and dominated the possession and tempo of the game, a run down the wing and cross into the box saw Yainnis Yiasemis find some space and a first time shot beat the keeper.
Melford continued to dominate and a strong run down the wing and cross to be the far post was met with a handball by the Woodbridge defender and a penalty was awarded to Melford which Kyran Quelch scored.
Melford centre forward Ricky Verdades worked really hard all game and got his reward later in the game by scoring two further goals.
A 6-1 win for Melford who fully deserved the three points.
