Long Melford add two forwards

First TeamNews

After a busy period of four games in 10 days, Melford are delighted to add not one, but two attacking talents to their ranks.

First up is former Mildenhall Town and Ely City striker, Ryan Gibbs.

Ryan is a proven striker at this level and comes to us having hit an impressive 24 goals in 28 games last season (for Diss Town and Ely).

He joins his brother Jordan (pictured presenting Ryan with the shirt at last night’s game) at Long Melford.

And our second signing of the week is highly rated youngster, Ethan Flack.

Ethan dual signs from Bury Town where despite being just 17 is a regular in their U18’s and developmental side.

Dave Hennessey had this to say on our new additions:

We are delighted to be able to bring these guys to Stoneylands and have every confidence they will only add to the group.

Ryan is a player we know well from this league, he’s got a proven record for scoring goals and being a real handful and everyone I’ve spoken to about him has only good things to say. He will fit right in and I know how happy he is to be playing alongside his brother again.

Ethan is a bright young talent and I know Ben Chenery rates him very highly. We look forward to seeing him on the pitch and as a club playing an important role in his development in men’s football.

I want to thank Mildenhall and Bury Town respectively for their assistance in getting these deals done.

Get yourself down to Stoneylands on Saturday and you might get to see these lads in action.
