After a very even first period, the visitors swapped their format and upped their game to run out worthy winners.

After Melford had forced a flurry of early corners play switched to the other end with Ryan Forbes landing a cross on top of the Melford net and Jeorgy Batch rattling the Melford crossbar with a shot. Melford responded with Jamie Griffith flashing his shot wide from the angle.

And that is how the half progressed, end to end football in an entertaining contest.

Early in the second period Melford almost took the lead, from a George Day corner Sam Mills headed powerfully at goal, but Jordan Forbes hooked the ball off the goal line.

Immediately play switched to the Melford end with Jordan Buttle forging down the Norwich left flank and his cross found LIAM JACKSON who fired home via the goalpost.

On 59 minutes Norwich scored their second when a fine cross was headed home by LIAM JACKSON for his second of the game.

The third goal arrived on 75 minutes when Melford keeper Matt Walker made an excellent save from a close range shot but the rebound found substitute HARRY PITCHER for a simple tap in.

Just time for some good pressure from Hassan Ally who created some confusion in the Norwich area, and as a result a confident shout for a handball penalty was waved away the referee.
