Perry Newman gave Melford Reserves the lead on Saturday but Walsham hit back to take all three points.
Here’s manager David Hennessey’s thoughts on Saturday’s match:
A tough one to take as despite missing a few key players we looked to take the game to a strong Walsham side.
Despite actually playing well we didn’t get any luck and the absentees proved too costly and Walsham deserved all three points.
A well deserved rest now before we cram three games into the final 10 days of the season, starting on the 20th away to Cornard. We’ve achieved too much this season to let it all slip away so we need to dig deep and grind out a result or two on the way.
