Pre-season friendly round-up

A round-up of the club’s pre-season friendlies over the past fortnight.

The friendlies began on 2nd July with a 3-2 defeat at West Wratting for a Long Melford XI (scorers: Hugo Hertz and Ricky Verdades).

The following weekend another mixed Long Melford XI visited Stanway Pegasus and lost 4-0.

Yesterday we played two matches on the same day. In the early kick off against West Bergholt (played at Wormingford) there was a 3-2 defeat (Jacob Brown and Hassan Ally on the scoresheet).

In the second match at Hatfield Peverel, Melford came from behind to win 3-1 (scorers Ricky Verdades 2 and Hugo Hertz).
