Reserve team manager Darren Thomas felt the scoreline was a little harsh on his young team.

We played against a strong Stowmarket team and it was a tough ask as we had no centre backs available, so played two full backs in the middle (Charlie Coy and Ty Williams).

There was not much between the sides except Stowmarket had a little more experience and key players in the right areas.

Our youngsters equipped themselves well and they will learn a lot from this game.

I’m gutted for the boys as they played really well but Stowmarket took their chances and we didn’t.
