A vital game at the bottom of the table and Long Melford failed miserably.
The first half was pretty even but Melford squandered at least four good chances with some wasteful finishing.
Walsham went two goals to the good by half time. The first coming after 34 minutes when the referee surprisingly awarded a free kick for a perfectly good block tackle by Josh Collins, the kick taken by Scott Chaplin, was headed home by JACK BRAME, once briefly a Melford player.
The second goal came on the halftime whistle when under pressure LEWIS BRENNAN headed into his own net.
This lead had the desired impact for Walsham and Melford were second best the entire second half.
Pressing home their domination a deflected Garcia shot found CHARLIE NORMAN who slotted home from the edge of the box.
On 72 minutes ETHAN GARCIA wrapped up the game for the visitors.
What of Melford well on this performance Division 1 even this early looks a distinct possibility! CHENOBERET
