Upon taking a review of this defeat, Long Melford will rue the opening 15 minutes of the game, when they engineered at least five golden chances but failed to convert any of them.
The opening salvo from Melford completed, Walsham upped their game and overall it was a fairly balanced match with the home team converting their chances.
Quick on attack Walsham went ahead after 38 minutes when CHARLIE NORMAN converted an excellent cross from the Walsham right.
The second goal came after 57 minutes when a speculative chip from RYAN TWINN deflected and looped over keeper Matt Walker in the Melford goal.
Melford continued to battle and after 84 minutes came back when substitute PERRY NEWMAN rifled home from the angle.
This signalled an all out attack for Melford and they forced four successive corners hitting the woodwork twice and seeing al least two goal line clearances.
This all out attack phase was the downfall for Melford for the third goal when in added time JAMIE SMITH ran onto a Walsham long clearance from within his own half to complete the scoring. CHENOBERET
