It was a “magnificent seven” for Long Melford Reserves who move up to 3rd in the table.
Melford started quickly in this game with Captain KYRAN QUELCH starting the scoring in the first few minutes with a well taken strike into the bottom corner.
Thetford tried to get back into the game but Melford were not letting them settle and controlled the play.
It wasn’t too long after the first goal when Melford got another with RICKY VERDADES driving into the box to slide the ball pass the keeper.
The pressure kept coming from Melford with more goals coming from TYLER SHILLINGFORD, RICKY VERDADES and a thunderbolt shot from DAN SMITH putting the home side ahead 5-0 at the break.
Thetford came out much better second half and played some good football and had a couple of good chances which were well saved by Melford’s keeper Alex Utteridge.
A headed goal from the home side’s striker YIANNIS YIASEMIS and another from CHARLES GLOVER took the final score to 7-0.
