This was a very entertaining game full of cut and thrust, with high energy.

The visitors Saffron Walden Town had already won the League title and today’s draw retained their unbeaten status.

The game was tilted in favour of The Bloods during the first half and they deservedly scored after 42 minutes when their star striker LEFKOS CONSTANTINOU flicked the ball into the net.

Several good saves from Melford keeper Max Boulter kept the score line intact into the interval break.

Melford resumed the second half in determined fashion and were at times dominant.

The equaliser came on 53 minutes when CHARLIE HOLMES fired home from 15 yards, the shot taking a wicked deflection.

About the right final score in a hard-fought contest between two evenly matched teams.
