Reserves manager steps down
Darren Thomas has stepped down from his position as Long Melford Reserves manager.
Everybody at the club would like to place on record our thanks to Darren for his contribution over the past year.
Our reserve team enjoyed a successful season under Darren’s leadership, finishing a very creditable 5th position in the Thurlow Nunn Reserve League.
Several players also made the step up from reserve to first team football this season.
Here’s a few words from Darren:
I believe this season has been a success and I’m sure the club will find someone to come in and build on the foundations we have made. I will of course see you all around Stoneylands. The committee and all the team that help run the club are wonderful people and I look forward to seeing you when I come to watch games or help out on occasions.
I truly hope Melford keep progressing and growing both on and off the pitch, we certainly have the right people within the club to take it forward.
I’d like to say thank you to Dave and Rob and everyone on the committee and all the coaching management team. I’d also like to say a special thank you to Lee Greenwood, Craig Lee and Jordan Maynard for their unwavering support and efforts with the reserves throughout the season.
I hope to see you all do well and I look forward to watching everyone’s progression in the season to come.
