Merry Christmas!
No game again last Saturday due to the weather, but that didn’t stop some of our boys enjoying a few Christmas drinks together!
We’d like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and thank our supporters and sponsors for your brilliant backing throughout 2022.
Don’t forget the early kick offs in our two matches over the festive period:
Hadleigh Utd v Long Melford (Boxing Day, 11am)
Long Melford v Brantham Athletic (Monday 2nd Jan, 2pm)
MID-SEASON REVIEW
Here’s a brief summary of the season so far at the half-way stage.
The First Team sit 8th in the Thurlow Nunn Premier with 27 points. David Hennessey’s team have already won 8 matches, a marked improvement compared to only 6 victories in the whole of last season.
The Reserves are 5th in the Thurlow Nunn Reserve League with 16 points. Their last match before Christmas ended in a convincing 3-0 win for Darren Thomas’ side away to Framlingham Town.
The Under 18s are 7th in the Thurlow Nunn Youth League with 12 points. Nathan Bartlett’s young team achieved an excellent result in their last match of 2022, winning 6-2 at league leaders Holland.
In summary, all three teams can be very pleased with their performance so far. Let’s hope for more of the same in the second half of the season!
