Long Melford Reserves won at Thetford Town to record their third consecutive victory.
Melford started slowly with both teams battling to get a hold of the game. As the game went on Melford started to control the tempo but were struggling to get any momentum.
Finally, a through ball down the midfield was met by a run from RICKY VERDADES who passed the ball into the corner of the Thetford net.
Thetford had a golden opportunity to make it 1-1 just before half-time but the home team’s forward put it wide.
Half time 0-1
Second half, Melford stepped it up a gear and controlled the play. Ethan Flack and Perry Newman were making some promising runs down the wings before the ball once again was met by RICKY VERDADES who shot from just outside the 18 yard box to put the visitors 0-2 up with a very well curled shot into the top right hand corner.
Two further goals followed when PERRY NEWMAN cut in from the right to side foot the ball into the net and then a good cross into the box from the right was met by ETHAN FLACK who headed in the forth.
