Goalkeeping Coach appointed

A warm welcome to Mike Onslow who joins our coaching team.

Mike joins the club as Goalkeeping Coach for the upcoming 2022/23 Season and is looking forward to the challenge ahead:

Having spent my entire life as a goalkeeper I decided to move into coaching at the end of 2020 to try and provide specialist coaching for local ‘keepers, something I lacked during my playing career.

I’ve spent the last two seasons working with SIL side Cockfield United and providing private coaching to a number of local goalkeepers of different ages and at different levels of the game.

Working with Long Melford gives me a real chance to step up and challenge myself and I’m looking forward to working with some top goalkeepers along the way.
