A narrow defeat in the semi-final but the Reserves have done the club proud this season.
Here’s manager David Hennessey’s thoughts on the match:
A tough defeat to take in what was a cracking cup tie and a great advert for reserve football. No matter the result I’m proud of the effort my boys have put in all season.
Semi-finals are often cagey and we know it’s always a tightly contested affair when we play Stowmarket; which in itself is a testament to how much we’ve progressed.
In the end they converted their best chance and we didn’t and I’d like to wish them all the best in the final.
As for us, we dust ourselves off and go again, starting this Tuesday at home against Whitton.
