A tough away trip for the Reserves looking to get back on track after last week’s defeat.
A strong Melford side opened the game well and stretched the home side early, despite this they found themselves a goal behind when Addy Roy was caught in possession (perhaps unfairly) and the home striker rifled home past debutant Michael Bett.
Both sides looked to get forward at every opportunity and this made for end to end football.
The half time introduction of Kyran Quelch and a tactical tweak saw Melford come out with real intent and they were deservedly level after some excellent work by Jack Delaune saw Quelch feed in JAMES DORMADY who capped a great week with a tidy finish.
The away side could sense the game was for the taking and looked very dangerous through the middle of the park with Billy Gray pulling the strings and both wide players looking especially lively.
It was Kyle Hurley who played a huge role in the winner, taking a delightful ball from Coy before skipping past the full back and firing across the 6 yard line, Delaune only beaten to the ball by the opposition centre half who could do no more than bundle into the net for an OWN GOAL.
Melford had several chances to add to the scoreline, the home keeper saving a couple of times before a Quelch header was cleared off the line.
Late appearances from two U18 prospects in Hugo Hertz and Tommy King added to a solid 30 minutes in the tank for Elliot Walker (his first appearance for the Reserves this season).
All in all a very good performance away from home against a strong Framlingham side that keeps the reserves 2nd in the table.
