It was a good day for Long Melford Reserves who scored three goals without reply against their local rivals.
The match was watched by a larger crowd than usual for a reserve team game and in the end the result went according to the form book.
Perry Newman opened the scoring, firing home from close range after some good build up play by Jack Delaune.
Newman turned provider to set upĀ Joe Andrews to rifle home neatly just before half time.
Delaune secured all three points, taking a pass from Ismail Marshall before sitting down the keeper and two Cornard defenders before smashing home.
The win means David Hennessey’s stay 2nd in the Thurlow Nunn Reserve League with 18 points from 9 matches.
