New U18s manager appointed
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Nathan Bartlett as the new manager for our Under-18s team at Long Melford.
A former player at Stoneylands, Nathan was with the U18s initially before progressing to the reserves. He also made a handful of first team appearances.
Having coached for over 12 years at a variety of age groups, Nathan was most recently involved at Haverhill Rovers.
Long Melford chairman Geoff Thomas was delighted to welcome the latest addition to the club.
“Nathan is passionate about developing young talent and is keen to help players move on into reserve and first team football,” he said.
“This is something that we firmly believe in as a club and feel sure that Nathan will be a great asset to Long Melford.”
Nathan’s first game in charge will be a very tough trip away to neighbours AFC Sudbury for a Thurlow Nunn Youth League encounter on Thursday night. Next week they play their first home game of the season for the FA Youth Cup meeting with Dereham Town, another big challenge.
